GETTING STARTED
Check your computer's screen resolution - it should be 1280x768 (or close to that).
If your screen resolution is TOO HIGH, you won't be able to see the presentation easily. Remember what your settings were before you change them so you can change them back after the presentation. (Write them down.) Get local help if you do not know how to change your screen resolution before the Webinar begins. To test your settings, click the arrow link at the bottom of this page. You'll hear a "hum" but what you see should be the right size and fit on your monitor.
Check your audio settings. Use earphones if you're in an open space.
We have the sound ON as a default. Don't upset your co-workers! Sound is ON and you may hear a hum until the webinar begins. You can switch to full-screen mode and use ESC to leave full-screen. This site has occasional ads. Use the "x" to close them. The link to the webinar at the Livestream site is here.
You can chat with us using the chat program on the next page.
Choose a username (your own first name is best) and type your questions in the area where it says, "Type your chat message here." Press ENTER or click the "SAY" button on the Webinar to deliver your message. Sign into the chat, please so we know you're with us and can provide tips & tricks for YOUR site.
What about the advertisements?
We use the FREE version of LiveStream (the webinars are free). You might get some ads every 15 minutes and can usually use the "X" to remove them. We are going to experiment with a different professional (no ads) version of broadcasting soon. It takes just a bit more work on your part to get ready, but we have full directions. Look for that information soon and we may ask some of you to be testers.
