TechTriad Extreme Nonprofit Site Makeover
After Gateway, Inc. - 2010 Nonprofit Extreme Site Makeover
After Gateway is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for adults with severe developmental disabilities. Our adult day health program provides excellent care and community integration through recreational activities, life skills training, community outings and volunteering, and medical care.
After Gateway provides personalized opportunities for continued growth and skills retention for a wide variety of adults, some with acute/chronic health care problems and some with significant personal care needs. Each participant in our program has an individualized plan that outlines the specific goals and outcomes that individual desires to achieve. Each plan is regularly reviewed to ensure that interventions are as therapeutic as possible.
Most importantly, After Gateway is a place to have fun, while working on achieving goals. Our participants love to hang out with each other, to go places together, and to be all they can be. After Gateway provides:
- a pleasant, well-staffed facility
- focused and meaningful interventions based upon a person-centered approach
- physical activity indoors and out
- meaningful, individualized goals and activities
- art and music therapy
- community and parent involvement and integration
- quality medical care
- CARF Accreditation for Adult Day Services
This was an "Extreme Choice" for TechTriad - every nonprofit that applied was worthy and we wish we could have done more site makeovers!
Hopefully other Web firms will adopt an annual makeover for nonprofits that do as good work and benefit as many people as the groups we "met" through the applications this year.
